LITTLE LOOP

Little Loop
Little Loop is a digital app with a program that connects the community with locations that allows them to trade toys. The goal of this app was to create a circular economy in the toy industry to reduce waste and connect within the community through an interactive and playful app/branding design.
Ideation
I started my process with ideating what concept I wanted to research more and connected with. I decided to look more into creating a circular economy for toys locally to reduce toy waste. With this I researched what current businesses like this are doing and how it could be improved.

Sketching
After I mapped out what pain points I found in these other processes, I decided that the app needed to be local, easy to connect with others (similar to Facebook Marketplace) and interactive for parents and kids. Additionally, there needed to be multiple ways to exchange toys (both in person and through mail). From here I began to sketch out main pages on the app, signage for stores that they can partner with and the user-flow.

Mood Boarding and Digitizing
After my concept, sketches and tone was established, I found some visuals I enjoyed from other brands and started digitizing some branding elements in Adobe Illustrator to finalize a solid branding system that could be translated to print and digital.

Final Branding Assets & Wireframing
I began transferring my final branding assets into Figma to develop the main app and played with how these assets would interact within the space and keep the tone of the overall brand.

Motion & Signage
After the main app was developed I worked on the promotional materials (signage) and the loading screen motion for the app in Adobe After Effects. I wanted to make sure the system was translated effectively into these applications and offered more context for the overall concept.

Finals
My final product implements an icon system featured throughout the system for navigation and storytelling, acting as a guide for users. They each use a limited color palette making them cohesive and recognizable. The overall app is made to be effective in finding nearby drop -off points or offer other alternatives to exchanging toys. Signage was made with store partnerships in mind to catch viewers before they purchase a new toy and offer an alternative.
